Michigan Nursing CE Requirements
  • RNs and LPNs in Michigan are required to complete 25 hours of continuing education every two years
  • Nurses with licenses expiring 3/31/18 or before must complete a minimum of one (1) hour of pain & symptom management as part of the 25 hours
  • Nurses with licenses expiring 3/31/19 or later must complete TWO (2) hours of pain & symptom management as part of the 25 hours
  • Beginning with the 2017 renewal cycle, nurses are required to complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking. This one-time training requirement must be completed prior to the license renewal in 2019
