5 Contact hours | 2 Pharmacology hours Over time, the understanding and perceptions of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have changed dramatically as a result of advances in medical technology and recent increases in medical knowledge. This course walks clinicians through that evolution, providing them with a comprehensive history as well as the latest available research. This course provides nurses with information regarding the initial conceptualizations of ADHD and its historical underpinnings, including populations involved. The etiology of ADHD and its genetic, biological, and environmental factors are also explored and discussed.
