Western Schools is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC)

Minnesota, Tennessee - courses are designed to meet your CE requirements

- District of Columbia Board of Nursing (provider #50-2165). Western Schools submits all continuing education records to CEBROKER after successful course completion.
- Florida Board of Nursing - (provider #50-2165). Western Schools submits all continuing education records to CEBROKER after successful course completion.

- California Certified Hemodialysis Technicians (CHT) – the Dept Of Health, Aid & Technician Certification Section accepts CE offered by CA-BRN approved providers.
NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR APPROVALS:
- California Nursing Home Administrator Program, certain courses approved. (provider #NHAP #CEP1518) See individual course notes.
- As an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accredited provider, Western Schools’ courses are accepted by the American College of Healthcare Administrators.
NOTE: Under the guidelines of the California Board of Nursing Home Administrator Program, a maximum of ten (10) hours of CE credit will be granted per individual home study course regardless of course length.
PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN APPROVALS:
- Western Schools is approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians to provide continuing education to psychiatric technicians. (Provider #V10498) Western Schools’ courses are accepted by the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians.
RESPIRATORY CARE PRACTITIONERS:
- California Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) – The Respiratory Care Board of California accepts CE offered by CA-BRN approved providers.
- As an ANCC accredited provider, the following Respiratory Therapy State Boards accept courses offered by Western Schools: Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington
It is the responsibility of each professional to understand what his or her state licensing board requires for license renewal, as well as what that licensing board identifies as acceptable continuing education. Please contact your board for verification if you are unsure of your continuing education requirements.
